The program is designed to produce graduates who are knowledgeable in food science and business management. Both of these aspects are important in the food industry which includes food processing and production as well as management activities which include handling, purchasing and marketing, company rules and regulations, monitoring and cost control. One-third of the courses are taken from the Faculty of Economics and Business, which is considered to be equivalent to a Diploma in Business Management and is expected to provide students with a competitive edge in the world of work. Graduates of the program will be equipped with management skills and technical expertise related to the food industry.
