The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Honours program consists of the traditional chemsitry fields like the physical, analytical, organic and inorganic chemistry. In addition, the chemistry knowledges and skills are enhanced with contemporary chemistry courses like polymer chemistry, chemical kinetics, chemical thermodynamics and computational chemistry courses. To further enrich the chemistry experience, students in the program are required to choose elective courses from the field of applied chemistry, environmental chemistry, food chemistry. Examples of the elective courses offered are Industrial Chemistry, Catalysis, Food Bioprocessing, Macro Food Components Chemistry and Analysis, Environmental Impact Assessment, and Marine Chemistry.
